Hello everyone,
MTCCA is pleased to announce that we are upgrading our email listserv system from a relatively open Yahoo! system to one maintained by Maine Municipal Association. This new tool is a quick way for clerks to ask questions, share relevant information and conduct informal surveys of other clerks.
The group rules are as follows: please keep comments brief, to the point and professional; keep postings work-related or MTCCA or clerk association related; please refrain from posting jokes, etc. and keep discussions professional; remember if you are using your work computer, all email communications are subject to the Right to Know law; if you need to email one person, do it directly and not through the listserv system. Also - when sending an email, please list at the end of your message your name, town and email address.
So let’s begin! To send an email to the new system, simply send a message to: MTCCA@imail.memun.org. You can only send from your email address that is on the MTCCA membership list, so if it changes notify the ResourceCenter@memun.org .
Please make sure the address (MTCCA@imail.memun.org) is white listed as safe in your spam software or on their server’s filter.
Remember - the listserv is limited to clerks, deputy clerks and assistant clerks - no state agencies, commercial vendors, etc. are permitted to participate, therefore, this is a "safe" and comfortable environment to ask a question of a fellow clerk or to discuss an issue of concern. No need to feel embarrassed that a state agency or others would know that you are asking a question, because they won’t know.
If you are a member and wish to subscribe or unsubscribe from the MTCCA Listserv, send an e-mail request to ResourceCenter@memun.org and be sure to identify yourself.
